DEPUTY BUDGET DIRECTOR
The Bowser Administration is seeking a Deputy Budget Director to help lead the Office of Budget and Finance (OBF). The OBF reports to the Mayor through the City Administrator’s Office in Washington, DC.
Washington, DC is proud to have had balanced budgets for the past 22 years and an excellent program of budget and financial management, with clean audits and excellent credit ratings. The Budget Director will help ensure resources are targeted to programs that improve the lives of District residents.
OBF prepares the proposed annual operating and capital budgets and advises the Mayor and the City Administrator on financial and policy issues.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
There is a legal requirement that each new appointee to the Excepted and Executive Service either: (1) be domiciled in the District of Columbia at the time of appointment; or (2) establish District domicile within one hundred eighty (180) days of appointment. The law also requires that Excepted and Executive Service employees maintain District domicile during the period of the appointment. Failure to maintain District domicile during the period of the appointment will result in forfeiture of employment.
