SALARY RANGE: Excepted Service Grade 6 ($68,081 to $102,091)
The Bowser Administration is seeking a Budget Analyst to work within the Office of Budget and Finance (OBF). This position reports to the Budget Director. OBF reports to the Mayor through the City Administrator’s Office in Washington, D.C. OBF prepares the proposed annual budget and advises the Mayor and the City Administrator on financial and policy issues that impact the District’s operations and capital investments. OBF works to ensure that resources are targeted to programs that improve the lives of District residents.
The Office of Budget and Finance:
The Budget Analyst is responsible for providing support to staff, conducting research on financial outcomes and developing long-term strategic goals.
The Budget Analyst:
There is a legal requirement that each new appointee to the Excepted and Executive Service either: (1) be domiciled in the District of Columbia at the time of appointment; or (2) establish District domicile within one hundred eighty (180) days of appointment. The law also requires that Excepted and Executive Service employees maintain District domicile during the period of the appointment. Failure to maintain District domicile during the period of the appointment will result in forfeiture of employment.
